Industrial Design
An industrial design registration protects the ornamental character of an object and is generally recommended for the protection of furniture, packaging, toys, shoes, jewelry, watches, among others.
Unlike patents, industrial design is not intended to protect technical or functional aspects.

- Search for industrial designs in banks of industrial designs in Brazil and abroad, focusing on consulting third-party portfolios, registrability and/or freedom of exploration;
- Monitoring of processes already registered, own and/or third parties processes;
- Defense in cases of nullity of registration;
- In Brazil, industrial design registration lasts for up to 25 years, and before it is granted, it undergoes a formal and technical examination. Nevertheless, novelty and originality requirements are not assessed.
